Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia today demanded immediate elections in Delhi to stop the BJP from forming the government by purchasing people.
"Our party's stand is very clear that there should be elections in Delhi immediately because if the BJP forms the government after purchasing people then there will be corruption and nothing else," Sisodia told ANI here.
"We know this because the BJP has been trying to buy our members and we are quite sure about it. If they continue to do this, we will do a sting operation on them," he added.
According to reports, the Lieutenant Governor had sent a recommendation to President Pranab Mukherjee to invite the BJP, which has the highest numbers in the Delhi Assembly, to form the government in the national capital.
Delhi has been under President's rule since February 17 this year after AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal resigned as the Chief Minister in protest against the Lieutenant Governor's refusal to allow the introduction of the 'Janlokpal Bill' in the Assembly.
