The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders will be meeting Delhi Police Commissioner B.S. Bassi here on Wednesday over the claims made by Dilip Pandey that he had a narrow escape when a police vehicle tried to run him over.
"Lieutenant Governor has assured us that he will talk to the Police Commissioner and will ensure that appropriate action is taken as per law of land. We have given complete information, a CD and letter to the LG about yesterday's incident. We will meet Delhi Police Commissioner B.S. Bassi at 7 p.m. today and put forth our opinion," said AAP leader Sanjay Singh.
Pandey, who has lodged an FIR in this regard, has said that he was saved by an AAP volunteer who pushed him out of the vehicle's way.
"As I was leaving police station, right outside the police station a police vehicle tried to run me over," Pandey told ANI.
"This was really disturbing. We have lodged a complaint with the police and we will follow it up," he added.
