The Delhi High Court (HC) on Thursday will hear the plea of 20 Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs, seeking to quash their disqualification from the Delhi Assembly for holding offices of profit.
This comes after President Ram Nath Kovind on January 21 approved the disqualification of the MLAs, who were appointed as parliamentary secretaries by the Arvind Kejriwal-led government, after the Election Commission of India (ECI) recommended the same on January 19.
Earlier, the Delhi High Court had refused to stay the sacking of the legislators.
