Asserting that differences in opinions are common in politics, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Yogendra Yadav on Monday dismissed reports of a crisis in the party and said Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is the hero of changing politics in the country.
"Differences in opinions are common in politics. We should set all these aside and look forward to realize the dreams of the common man who voted for us... Patience is required in not just politics but in all walks of life," he told ANI.
Yadav further said there is no question of asking for Kejriwal's resignation as the national convener.
"Arvind is the hero of changing politics in the country. No question of asking for Arvind's resignation as convener," he said.
The AAP has called a national executive meeting on Wednesday to decide on issues including the latest controversy over differences in the party.
AAP leader Sanjay Singh had earlier said that attempts are being made to change Kejriwal as AAP's national convener.
The rift within the AAP came out in the open with Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan voicing dissent against the manner in which the party is being run by Kejriwal. The two leaders also reportedly offered to opt out of the Political Affairs Committee of the party.
