Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday said that the party would meet the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) and urge him to allow the party to put banners outside each booth to educate voters, as they suspected tampering of Electronic Voting Machines ahead of Delhi Assembly elections.

"We suspect EVM tampering. Tried to meet CEC yesterday. He was busy. Hope we will be able to meet him today. We urge CEC to allow us to put a banner outside each booth educating voters abt EVMs," the AAP leader tweeted.

Earlier on Tuesday, AAP had alleged that the EVMs are being tampered with ahead of the assembly elections in the national capital.

The elections for the 70-member Delhi Assembly will be held in a single phase on February 7. The counting of votes will take place on February 10. The last day of campaigning is February 5.
