In an attempt to woo Dalit voters for the upcoming assembly polls in Punjab, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is about to release a separate 'Dalit manifesto.'

AAP leader Ashish Khetan, who is working on the manifesto making exercise in Punjab, says that the party is holding meetings across state to take suggestions from Dalits for their welfare programs.

Recently, the Arvind Kejriwal-led party had raised issues related to Dalit atrocities and is now planning to go ahead taking political mileage out of such incidents.

The Delhi Chief Minister had earlier questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi's silence over the attacks on the members of Dalit community and accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leadership to support such acts.

"PM Modi's continued silence on Dalit attacks proves that these attacks are taking place with active support from top BJP leadership," Kejriwal tweeted.

Kejriwal had last week visited Una town in Gujarat and met Dalits victims who were thrashed by members of a Hindu "cow protection group" for skinning a dead cow.
