Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday lashed out at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders for making unwarranted comments against women and reiterated his promise of taking a number of steps to ensure their safety in the national capital.

Kejriwal alleged that the BJP ministers ask women to give birth to four kids, while his party wants to give women their due freedom.

"BJP's ministers say that women should give birth to four-five kids, they say women should not work. AAP wants to create an environment in which women feel safe and walk the streets of Delhi without any fear. People of Delhi have to choose what model they like," Kejriwal said at a press conference here.

Firing another salvo at the BJP, he said the ruling party at the Centre had installed 15,000 CCTV cameras for U.S. President Barack Obama's visit which were now being removed.

"They couldn't do it for the women in Delhi?" he asked.

The former Delhi chief minister further said that his party would install street lights in every corner of the city for the safety of women.
