India's leading online recruitment marketplace that connects entry-level job seekers with employers AasaanJobs has announced its plans to further expand its reach across major Tier-II cities in India.

The company will set up its operations in three major zones, viz. Gurgaon, Mumbai, and Bangalore, apart from other cities in the North, East, South, and West regions. The main three cities will also serve as AasaanJobs' headquarters in their respective areas.

A large section of the Tier-II market has been untapped by organized players as the growth prospect in these areas is relatively slower than in metropolises. According to the India Skills Report 2016, more than 50 percent of the working age population in Tier-II and Tier-III cities are employable. However, the demand concentration and slow growth discourages many players to fully exploit the market potential in these regions.

Keeping such factors in mind, AasaanJobs plans to set up operations across 20 different cities under the specified zones. Its decision to expand its services towards Tier-II cities is part of its business expansion strategy to acquire more corporate clients in various industries in the next couple of years.

"The rise in demand for better job search and recruitment platforms has proven to be a boon for the employment industry in India. However, there appears to be a huge market gap between the availability of such services in Tier-II cities, which holds lots of potential, yet, no takers. Thus, identifying the huge demand for Tier-II recruitments from our existing and prospective clients, along with low competition, we wanted to leverage our partner network and activate our presence in Tier-II markets. We are confident that our recruitment platform will work well in Tier-II cities as we will be able to facilitate lots of new demand for our recruitment partners in these areas," said VP Marketing AasaanJobs, Siddharth Gupta.

Ever since its launch, AasaanJobs has acquired several clients across multiple sectors, especially in BFSI and logistics. With its latest expansion plan, the dynamic venture hopes to enter the Tier-II market as the bar is relatively set low as compared to other Indian metropolises, and barriers in language or sales requirements will have no major effect on the business.
