Referring to the death of 28 Australians aboard Malaysian Airlines flight MH17, which was shot down by rebels in Ukraine, Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott has reportedly declared that he will "shirt-front" Russian President Vladimir Putin about the same at the G20 summit.
Addressing a media conference in Central Queensland, Abbott said that Putin will face a lot of tough conversations at Brisbane next month but the conversation that he will hold with Australia will be the "toughest of all." He said that he is going to tell the Russian leader that Australians were murdered by Russian backed rebels using Russian supplied equipment and Australia is very unhappy about this, reported News.com.au.
He however, added that he accepts that Putin did not want this to happen but must cooperate fully with the criminal investigation.
The Boeing 777 aircraft carrying 298 passengers was shot down over Ukraine by rebels. Kiev accused Moscow of backing the rebels and supplying arms, a claim that was denied by the latter.
