Afghan presidential candidate Abdullah Abdullah has said that he will not accept the final poll results, which according to him was marred by fraud.

Speaking to reporters, Abdullah said that whatever results are announced will not be acceptable.

According to the BBC, the former resistance fighter and foreign minister said the Independent Election Commission (IEC) and its complaints body (EEC) were not neutral and warned that both would be responsible for the "consequences" of the election.

It is said that Abdullah's rival Ashraf Ghani seems to have outdone him in the run-off presidential polls in certain places, the official results of which will not be released until next month.

Meanwhile, with Abdullah seeking UN intervention, there is growing international concern about the destabilising influence that mistrust of the election authorities could have, the report added.
