Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan, who is the owner of Pro Kabaddi team Pink Panthers, was recently spotted at the press conference of his team in India's showbiz capital Mumbai.

When asked about whether current IPL controversy will help in diverting the attention to different sports, the 39-year-old actor shed some light on how different sports apart from Cricket are gradually gaining attention in the country.

The 'Guru' star said, "India is ready for a sporting revolution. India is ready for sports and it has become a form of entertainment as well. So, I think there is enough room for everybody and everything. The number of people who saw kabaddi last year proves that the sport is gaining attention gradually. People are ready to see more sports."

"More nations on earth play kabaddi then they do cricket. 36 nations officially have a kabaddi team and kabaddi is a sport that has made a huge impact lately", added Abhishek.

He also introduced few new players along with the new jersey of the team at the event.

Pink Panthers became the first ever team to win the Star Sports Pro Kabaddi title against U Mumba in 2014.
