Italian club AC Milan is reportedly keen to have Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic in their side, following the Premier League champions' interest in a replacement for the captain in the form of Benfica's Ezequiel Garay.
AC Milan believes that United may sign Garay and if new United boss David Moyes does not include Vidic in his first XI, they would want to acquire the Serbian who has been with the Old Trafford giants since 2006, the Mirror reports.
The Italian giants think the Serbian international could turn out as an ideal partner for their present centre-back Phillipe Mexes.
The report adds that Moyes may want to phase Vidic out, who faced an injury-affected campaign last season, playing just 23 games in total, after his 2011-12 season had ended in December following a knee problem.
