Afghan President Ashraf Ghani has appointed Haroon Chakhansuri as the new presidential spokesman and Mukhtarullah Mukhtar as protocol chief.
The Presidential Palace in a statement yesterday said that the appointments have been approved by Ghani, reports the Tolo News.
According to the statement, Chakhansuri has a master's degree in public administration and policy from the Sydney University of Australia.
He has worked for the World Bank and has over 12 years of experience in government and non-government organizations in the fields of policy making and program management.
Meanwhile, Mukhtar has served on a number of commissions as well as for the Ministry of Rural Development and Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation.
He also has over 12 years of experience in government and non-government organizations, the statement said.
