At least five Pakistani militants affiliated with the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist group offshoot, ISIS Khurasan, have been killed in an air strike in Afghanistan's eastern Nangarhar province.
Khaama Press quoted the provincial government media office as saying in a statement that the airstrike was carried out targeting the militants in the vicinity of Taktakani area of Nazian district.
According to the provincial government, the militants killed in today's airstrike are originally the residents of Orakzai agency of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in Pakistan.
Regular raids are being conducted by the Afghan and the US forces in Afghanistan against the Taliban insurgents and ISIS loyalist in the districts where they are conducting insurgency activities.
