Shahid Afridi's two consecutive sixes in the final over, helped Pakistan bag a victory over India by one wicket in the sixth match of the Asia Cup one-day cricket tournament at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Pakistan, who opted to field first, were chasing India's 245-8 and required nine runs of the last four balls having slumped to 236-9.
According to the Dawn, Afridi however, knocked two consecutive sixes off Ravichandran Ashwin in the final over to seal Pakistan's victory in the match.
Afridi said that he was delighted over his contribution for his team and added that it is always a great occasion to play against India, the report mentioned.
Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq is reportedly happy with the way Afridi sealed the match and also said that he was happy, as his team had played 'very well under pressure'.
Although India lost, Virat Kohli, filling in as captain for the injured Mahendra Singh Dhoni, said that he proud of his team, as they had put in a good effort after a 'modest total', the report added.
This is the reigning World Champions India's second defeat in three games and they are unlikely to make it to the March 8 final even if they beat Afghanistan in their upcoming match on Wednesday, the report mentioned.
