Manchester United will take on Chelsea FC in an English Premier League match on Sunday, and its manager Jose Mourinho, is hoping that his club won't be ambushed by the latter.

According to a Sport24 report, Mourinho is hoping that after five draws in six games, he will be able to get Manchester United over the line against his former club, which sacked him mid-way last season for under performance.

Chelsea are currently English Premier League leaders, and Mourinho is likely to be highly motivated despite two deeply unpleasant experiences on two previous trips to Stamford Bridge this season.

In October, Manchester United was thrashed 4-0. Mourinho also had a run-in with Chelsea FC manager Antonio Conte over his touchline exhortations, even accusing the Italian of trying to "humiliate" him.

In February this year, Manchester United was defeated by Chelsea 1-0 in the Football Association Cup. Mourinho was also harangued by fans who was serenaded him. In response to their taunts of "Judas!", he raised three fingers - one for each of the Premier League titles he won over his two spells as Chelsea manager.

Conte, on the other hand, has sought to play down any suggestion of tension between himself and Mourinho, adding that Sunday's encounter must just be seen as another sporting competition between the two and their respective clubs.
