In response to US' tough stance against Huawei, the tech giant's home country is reportedly looking at retaliating by blacklisting foreign firms operating in China.
China's commerce ministry spokesman Gao Feng said that the nation will create its own entity list of unreliable foreign companies that have stopped or curtailed their businesses with Chinese firms, Tech Crunch reported.
This comes after the US enlisted Huawei and 68 affiliates in an entity list over national security concerns after which several American firms including Google, Intel, and Qualcomm, have cut ties with the Chinese tech giant.
The government has announced a 90-day reprieve for companies to offer critical support to Huawei.
