After Miss Dimapur 2015 contest, models from Nagaland upbeat about performing well in future

When it comes to beauty and talent, the northeast is second to none. Fifteen beautiful models sashayed down the ramp in Dimapur city for Miss Dimapur 2015 Contest.

The event was organised under the aegis of Ethnic Group of Nagaland in collaboration with Dimapur district administration.

Many former models, who were present at the event, said the opportunities are immense for the girls in the field of modeling.

Former Miss Dimapur 2009, Kajeni Kromeh, said, "There are many changes in the scenario now we can see lots of participants. During our time we don't have this much of contestant so, I think we can see a great changes."

Another model Ketholeno Kense said, "I think we all should know that Nagaland is a small state comparing to India as a whole and it is a part of India so, we are still very small when we compare to a bigger fashion industry but I'm hoping that at least one day we will reach the high level."

Besides the beauty pageant, a Tibetan cultural troupe performed a colorful traditional dance that mesmerized the audience. Kids also walked the ramp and showcased the creative designs of various designers. A group of young boys also entertained the audience by performing a hip-hop dance.

Jubilant Miss Dimapur 2015, Zehovire Avi Kechu said, "It is awesome! Now my next plan is obviously looking forward for Miss Nagaland."

From small towns and cities across Northeast, the girls are trying their luck in the fashion world. And, events like this open new vistas for these girls in the world of modeling.
