Sergio Aguero stole the limelight on Tuesday night as tournament favourites Argentina edged past defending champions Uruguay in their Copa America group-stage tie.
Following a goalless first-half, the Manchester City striker netted the decisive goal in the 56th minute after converting Pablo Zabaleta's cross, the BBC reported.
Although Uruguay were stubborn and wily in defence, Argentina- with Aguero, Lionel Messi and Angel Di Maria in their playing XI- dominated possession throughout the game.
With the win, Argentina lead the Group B table with four points from two games.
