All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) on Tuesday announced that Imtiaz Jaleel, a sitting MLA, will contest the ensuing Lok Sabha polls from Aurangabad seat in alliance with the Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA).
VBA leader Prakash Ambedkar on March 16 had announced that AIMIM would contest the ensuing Lok Sabha polls from at least one seat in Maharashtra.
The seven-phased Lok Sabha elections are scheduled to be held from April 11 and will go on till May 19. Maharashtra will go to polls in the first four phases, beginning April 11. The results of the polls will be declared on May 23.
