AIR, BBC and ABC to collaborate on new cricket programme

With the cricket World Cup due to start in less than a month, the All India Radio (AIR), British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) are collaborating on 'Stumped', a new programme based on the game.

Created by BBC, the programme aims to bright three cricketing nations: India, England and Australia, on one platform, with presenters from all three broadcasters and bringing in lively, informative, and humorous debate.

"AIR is delighted to co-produce and broadcast 'Stumped', together with BBC and ABC, on cricket, which undoubtedly is the favourite sport of millions of sports lovers in India. All India Radio hopes that this programme will help ordinary listeners understand the sport better and also spark listeners' interest in the game," All India Radio Director General, F Sheheryar said.

Stumped is weekly programme and it will be aired at 11:30 am on AIR FM Rainbow. It will also be live streamed on the AIR website.
