The Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha will travel to Japan on Tuesday to participate in the 60th anniversary celebrations of the Japanese Air Self-Defence Force (JASDF).
During his visit to that country, Air Chief Marshal Raha is scheduled to meet Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Japanese Defence Minister Akinori Eto and JASDF Chief of Staff General Harukazu Saitoh. During the symposium, he will also meet and interact with the Air Chiefs of Australia, Indonesia, Vietnam, the United Kingdom and the Commander of the Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) of the United States.
This visit by Air Chief Marshal Raha to Japan comes close on the heels of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Kyoto and Tokyo in September this year.
