Recovery crews of AirAsia flight QZ8501 have said that they strongly suspect they have found the "tail part of the plane" that is about 23 metres long.
The commander of the Indonesian navy ship Banda Aceh said that the wreckage had come both from sonar on board an Indonesian ship, the Bung Tomo, and the American USS Sampson.
The two ships recorded similar but slightly different sites, reported Stuff.co.nz.
Navy commander Mayor Profs Dhegratmen said that tomorrow they would check before diving with a focus to spot the right coordinates of the plane.
The rescue crews have recovered 30 bodies so far while 132 passengers and crew still remain missing.
The Airbus A320 disappeared while traveling from Indonesia to Singapore with 162 people on board.
As the search operations continue, special equipment has also arrived to aid the search for the plane and its black box flight recorders.
