The All India Students Association (AISA) members protested against Delhi University Vice Chancellor Dinesh Singh outside parliament street police station here today.
Earlier, a few members of AISA who were protesting were detained.
The members have been protesting for the scrapping of the controversial Four Year University Program (FYUP).
The Delhi University, which has been severely criticized for the delay in admissions, has proposed that the Honours courses in DU should be reverted back to the three year format while the B.Tech should continue to be a four year one.
Delhi University's media coordinator Malay Neerav today said in a press conference that the varsity has sent a proposal to the University Grants Commission (UGC) regarding the same and a response was awaited from the UGC.
