Worcestershire's bowling coach Matt Mason has issued a warning to batsman all over the world, saying Saeed Ajmal has returned to his original best and would pose a great threat to all batsmen when he plays for Pakistan.
Ajmal, who is making a comeback to competitive cricket with a re-moulded action, returned with impressive figures of 8/100 in Worcestershire's innings defeat of Hampshire, picking up his first five-wicket haul since February.
Mason said that all the credit goes to Ajmal as he has not only re-modelled his action but has also found out new ways of taking wickets, the Dawn reported.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) had banned the off-spinner for a suspect bowling action in August 2014, before clearing him to return in February.
Mason insisted that if Ajmal continues with this kind of performance, he will surely win the confidence of the selectors back home and would soon be making a comeback to the national side.
