Al Pacino is set to make a comeback to Broadway in David Mamet's 'China Doll', a play written specifically for the veteran actor.
The 74-year-old actor asserted that for him over the years the relationship and the collaboration with Mamet had been one of the richest and most rewarding, Deadline.com reported.
The 'Godfather' star continued that he and Mamet had done four projects together and the opportunity to create a new character in the Mamet canon was an opportunity he couldn't pass up.
Pacino was last seen on Broadway in 2012-2013 playing the role of Shelly Levene in Mamet's acclaimed Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Glengarry Glen Ross.
