Al Pacino is shocked over his former co-star and close friend Mike Nichols' death.

The Academy Award winner asserted that Nichols was his dear friend, and he loved him, New Post reported.

The 74-year-old actor continued that Nichols was the greatest director he ever worked with in 'Angels in America' and he was deeply touched by his passing.

Pacino added that the shock hasn't worn off.
