A new statement has been released by Al Qaeda in Indian Subcontinent (AQIS) condemning the Peshawar school massacre by the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) saying that it was "deeply saddening".
According to the translation of the official statement by AQIS which was in Urdu, the organization said it was forbidden to attack the army in such places because ordinary Muslims are harmed as a result of collateral damage.
Al Qaeda said that such acts were "UnIslamic" and criticized the TTP saying that it made a mistake, according to the website Justpaste.it.
AQIS also said that they disassociate themselves from such an attack. They also slammed the Pakistani government as "puppet army" for conducting operations against the TTP in the Federal Tribal Areas, mostly Waziristan.
The attack in Army Public School in Peshawar killed 141 people, including 132 children.
