Alesha Dixon has revealed that her mother used to get physically attacked by a former partner.
She said that she and her brother used to feel "helpless" in their childhood watching their mother being the victim of domestic abuse, as all they could do was sit on the stairs and watch it happen, Contactmusic reported.
The 'Britain's Got Talent' judge during an interview with Piers Morgan for 'Piers Morgan's Life Stories' said that she just remembers her mum wanting to escape, door flying open, her mum running and her brother and her just standing there a bit helpless.
The 35-year-old star added that despite witnessing the traumatic events, which left a normally confident young Alesha "afraid of everything", the singer insists she had a "great childhood".
