Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Monday said the allegations against him in connection with DDCA scam are baseless and devoid of truth.
"All these allegations are baseless and devoid of truth. For a total sum Rs. 114 crore, we made a stadium with a capacity of taking 42,000 people. Contrary to that, the Congress built the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium spending Rs. 900 crores. No one raised doubts on that expenditure,"Jaitley said in the Lok Sabha.
Meanwhile, both the Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha today were briefly adjourned over Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) issue.
Congress members trooped into the well of the House shouting slogans against Jaitley. They demanded his resignation for his alleged role in the DDCA scam.
Jaitley on Monday filed civil defamation suit in Delhi High Court of Rs 10 crores against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and AAP leaders, amid a raging row over irregularities in the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA)and allegations of corruptions against him by the Delhi Government.
