Ferrari driver Fernando Alonso has targeted the Italian Grand Prix as a must-win race if he is to challenge Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel for the World Championship, being 46 points off the lead.
According to The Guardian, Alonso expressed that he needed to change the situation and would be happy finishing in front of Vettel in Monza and in Singapore, adding that finishing in front should mean being on the podium.
A new driver announcement from Ferrari is being expected from the team for the next season.
Meanwhile, Vettel is on course to win his fourth consecutive World Championships in the Formula One.
