The 'Problem' singer covered her face with her hands while heading towards the stage to receive the award and said in her speech that she really didn't expect this.
Grande admitted crying on the stage while giving away a thank you speech for her fans.
American Music Awards 2015, hosted by Jennifer Lopez, is being held in Los Angeles.
