Amazon Chief Executive Officer Jeff Bezos has reportedly revealed that the company's Appstore has almost tripled in size in the past year, and now includes more than 2,00,000 apps.

Bezos, in a letter to shareholders, said that the Amazon Appstore now serves customers in almost 200 countries and includes over 2,00,000 apps and games from top developers around the globe.

According to the Mashable, the CEO partly gave credit to a series of new features for the Appstore's growth, which make it easier for developers to create apps.

Amazon has been reportedly trying to attract more developers to its Appstore by offering incentives like its Developer Select program, which helps developers make their apps more discoverable and Amazon Coins.

The company reportedly revealed last week that it would offer 1,000 free Amazon coins to customers who purchase their new Fire TV set-top box.

Amazon's Appstore, which was launched in 2011 with 38,000 apps, still remains relatively compared to the iOS App Store and Google Play Store, both of which topped 1 million apps last year, despite its recent growth, the report added.
