American golfer Boo Weekley feels that playing golf in Australia is no different to playing at home with friends while drinking a few beers.
Weekley, who plans to spend some time fishing Down Under after battling Adam Scott at the Australian Masters, would appear at all three of the nation's marquee tournaments, and after playing the Masters in Melbourne, he would head to Sydney for next week's Australian Open before finishing off on the Gold Coast at the Australian PGA Championship.Florida-born Weekley feels a natural affinity with Australians, and would join with local golfer Steven Bowditch for a fishing trip before inviting the US Tour regular for some hunting back in the States, Sport24 reported.
The 41-year-old believes that everybody on the PGA Tour should have the opportunity to come to Australia and play, or at least do it one time. He said that this is a dream for him come true to come over there.
Weekley said that he finally got to do it and now it's something he can check off his list, adding that he is going to go out and play the best he can play.
Weekley said that he doesn't think about it as he is over there in Australia playing golf as he is sitting at his house playing golf with his buddies drinking beer. He added that it's all the same, just golf.
