British boxer Amir Khan is reportedly hoping to beat American boxer Luis Collazo in order to face undefeated world boxing champion Floyd Mayweather.
Khan, who has stepped up from light-welterweight to welterweight, has not fought for a year since beating Julio Diaz in Sheffield with a points victory and is now set to face Puerto Rican Collazo on May 3.
According to the Guardian, Khan has revealed that he has used his year long break training and feels much stronger at welterweight and is keen on facing the US boxing star Maywheather by defeating Collazo first.
The Bolton boxer's desire for fighting has not deemed and he is reportedly keen to share a ring in Las Vegas next weekend with the dangerous southpaw Collazo.
However, Callozo does not look like he is going to be an easy contender for Khan as he said that this fight is his whole career right in front of him and he beats the former light welterweight champion then he has a bigger future in boxing, but if he is unable to do so then he has to start from the bottom again, the report added.
