Expressing confidence of forming the next government in Bihar, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah today alleged that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar betrayed the trust of his party for his political ambition.

"Everyone remembers the 15 years of Lalu's 'jungle raj.' That time, the Bharatiya Janata Party took the responsibility to stop Lalu. But we thought we would not be able to match up to Lalu, so we took Nitish Kumar along with us. We did all the hard work and made Nitish the Chief Minister. But what did Nitish do? He betrayed us. To become the Prime minister, he betrayed the Bharatiya Janata Party and the people," he said.

Addressing a rally here, Shah said there was no development in Bihar in the last 25 years.

"There are some states in which each village has non-interrupted supply of electricity. In some states, all villages are connected by roads. In some states, each village has a hospital. But our Bihar has been left behind in all these areas," said Shah.

Asserting that the BJP is an ideology, Shah said his party wins the elections because of the hard work put in by the workers.

"All the other parties may win elections on the basis of influential leaders or political agendas, but the Bharatiya Janata Party does not win because of leaders or dirty politics. It wins elections because of its workers," he said.

Shah said it is the BJP's responsibility to bring development in Bihar and added that it would be the state's misfortune if 'jungle raaj-2' forms the next government.
