Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah on Tuesday said that he has full faith in the leadership of Sardar Prakash Singh Badal and expressed confidence that the Akali Dal-BJP Government will again be formed in 2017.
Speaking to ANI here, Shah asserted that the coalition of the Akali-BJP has registered several points of growth in 10 years, which no other party has been able to do. He added that the alliance has contributed in a massive way towards the development of Punjab.
"When it comes to the elections of 2017, the people who have pride in the heritage of Punjab will choose the ones who are making Punjab's growth their agenda. I have full faith in the leadership of Sardar Prakash Singh Badal and once again Akali Dal-BJP Alliance will form the government," he added.
After two successive terms, the ruling Shiromani Akali Dal-BJP Alliance is facing a tough battle from Congress on the one hand and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on the other.
After 10 years in power, the Badals are facing a massive anti-incumbency feeling.
One factor going strong for SAD despite the anti-incumbency is the support of partner Bharatiya Janata Party.
