South Africa were at their menacing best on Tuesday as they crossed the 400-run milestone for the second successive match to beat Ireland by 201 runs in their World Cup tie at Manuka Oval in Canberra.
Opting to bat first, South Africa posted a mammoth target of 411 runs, thanks to the twin tons by Hashim Amla (159) and Faf du Plessis (109).
Following the dismissal of opener Quinton de Kock (1), Amla and du Plessis build up a 247-run partnership for the second wicket before falling prey to Andy McBrine and Kevin O'Brien's deliveries.
AB de Villiers could only contribute a brisk 24-run off just nine balls before being dismissed by McBrine.
Subsequently, David Miller (46) and Rilee Rossouw (61) accelerated the innings as the duo remained unbeaten to put up a solid 110-run partnership for the fifth wicket.
Chasing an imposing target of 411, Ireland kept on losing wickets in quick succession and were reeling at 48-5 in the 11th over.
