Congress candidate from Amritsar Capt. Amrinder Singh said that for him it will always be "Amritsar First", even though he was ready to discuss any other 'national' issue which Jaitley finds relevant. . Capt.Amrinder was talking to ANI on Thursday before going on his poll campaign.
"He is welcome to debate on any issue of his choice which he may feel to be national", said Capt Amarinder , adding, "for me the issues concerning the common man of Punjab are as important as those Jaitley thinks are national, even if someone like him (Jaitely) finds them less interesting".
Arun Jaitley on Wednesday stated that Amrinder Singh does not have any vision on national issues, and wants to recognize his presence by very impolite language. Jaitley also pointed that Captain does not raise issues like governance, shrinking economy, corruption, and unemployment and other issues country has been facing.
Talking to ANI. Amrinder said that he was not running from any issue to discuss. He said to Jaitley, "before you get into any national debate you get to know about Amritsar, future of this city, you must talk about Punjab, our problems and then we will need to talk on national issues.
