Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Friday held a review meeting with all the Head of Departments in the state and called for efficient implementation of policies to bolster economic growth in the state.

He said, "Allocation and spending of funds won't bring growth. Proper policies and efficient implementation yield good results. Every government department should analyze its policies and implementing methods."

He emphasized on the need to focus on the service sector. He said, "Service sector has potential to yield greater profits with less investment. Employment generation is also higher. But we are not getting much growth in service sector. A consultant can be hired if needed. There is ample scope for growth of service sector in Amaravati, Tirupati and Visakhapatnam."

Naidu spoke about how the Apparel industry can help generate employment among women.

"It is an evergreen industry that needs less investment, can provide more number of jobs, and generate good income. Apparel parks should be setup across the state, one each in each municipality. If the 90 lakh women in Self Help Groups can be given employment in these apparel parks, woman empowerment can be achieved." he said.

He also said that this will help every household earn a minimum living of Rs. 10, 000 and ordered for immediate implementation of the plan.

"Infrastructure development is going on at faster pace. In rural areas cement roads are being built and other amenities are being developed. Housing schemes are rampant in rural and urban areas. Many industries are being set up. Thus there is great scope in construction sector." He said.

He also ordered for a number of permission orders to be cleared and asked the authorities to make sure that environmental factors are kept in mind.

Naidu spoke of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, which will be partnering the government to"revolutionalize agriculture" in the state.

He also reviewed the 'People First' initiative of the government.

The report stated that 58% (8,18,190) of people's feedback is positive, and 42% (5,91,396) of the people are dissatisfied. People in Krishna and Guntur districts have the most number of positive feedback, and Kadapa and Kurnool districts have the lowest satisfaction levels.
