Andhra Govt. to hand over one lakh houses built for the poor on October 2

The Andhra Pradesh Government will be handing over one lakh houses built for the poor on October 2, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti (October 2) and the world habitat day.

The state government's aim is to construct 10 lakh houses with an estimated expenditure of Rs. 16,000 crore. As part of the scheme named the NTR Rural Housing, one lakh houses will be inaugurated on October 2.

The second and third phase of the construction will be inaugurated in January and June 2018, respectively.

On October 2, the house warming ceremony will be held for one lakh houses, whose complete construction is confirmed by geo tagging at five stages. These houses are built in 9,835 villages and in 884 wards.

Each house will be given two saplings of the beneficiaries' choice. Full details of all the beneficiaries have been uploaded on the website - https://apgovhousing.apcfss.in.

The photographs of the houses will be uploaded by AEs after the inauguration.
