A traditional bulls festival, Mylaru, was celebrated extravagantly in Kamatamuru village here on Sunday.
As a part of celebrations, the bulls were traditionally decorated with shiny and colourful ornaments and clothes and later they were taken on a ride and were made to rush across the village.
In order to have control over the angry bulls and to prevent any untoward incident, all precautionary measures were adopted.
The bulls were tied to a long chain by the locals, in order to take control over them, and the physical strength of many young men was required at the same time to handle that chain.
However, the excitement and enthusiasm of people were clearly visible as they turned up in huge numbers to witness the celebrations.
