Dukhtaran-e-Milat (DeM) leader Syedah Asiya Andrabi on Wednesday rubbished charges that she had any links with the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS) and said that it was 'ridiculous and fabricated' story being churned by the Indian Government against her.

Speaking to ANI, she asserted that this was a ploy against her and added that she had nothing to do with the terror organisation.

"I received this news through media. My stand is still clear in the matter that India just wants to implicate me in such issues so that they can arrest me for a long period of time. Everybody knows that Asiya Andrabi has nothing to do with ISIS or to recruit the boys for the militancy," Andrabi said.

"Andrabi's Dukhtaran-e-Milat (DeM) is not an underground organisation. Whatever we are doing, we are doing it in the open. So, how is it possible that I will send some boys across and they will go for training then join ISIS?" she added.

Andrabi maintained that the charges being levelled against her were nonsense and ridiculous and that it was a 'fabricated' story.

According to reports, three Hyderabad youths, who were arrested by the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) last week told the Telangana police that they were on their way to Srinagar to meet Andrabi, who would have facilitated their onward journey to join the ISIS.

Andrabi's statement comes after she opposed the proposed New Year celebrations to be held at tourist resort of Gulmarg and alleged that these programmes are being organised under an agenda devised by the RSS to thrust Indian culture on Kashmir.
