Angelina Jolie has revealed that she was "very, very moved" by the support and kindness she received from the public after her double mastectomy surgery.
The 38-year-old actress said that her experiences have brought her closer to other people battling health problems as they want to share their stories with her, the Mirror reported.
The 'Changeling' actress had both of her breasts removed after tests showed that she carried the BRCA1 gene, which increases her chances of contracting breast cancer.
Jolie had the genetic test because her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, died from ovarian cancer in 2007, and the star's results showed she had an 87 percent chance of developing breast cancer and 50 percent risk of ovarian cancer.
