Social activist Anna Hazare has announced he will go on an indefinite hunger strike from December 10 over a demand for a strong Lokpal Bill.
Expressing his anguish over the central government's failure to introduce and announce an anti-corruption law, Hazare said he would undertake his fast in his hometown of Ralegan Siddhi in Maharashtra.
Hazare said he had written a letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on this issue, and has received a reply from Minister in the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) V. Narayanasamy in which it is mentioned the steps taken by the government to introduce the Lokpal Bill in Parliament.
The Bill was passed in the Lok Sabha,but is yet to be passed by the Rajya Sabha.
