Anni's father says 'my girl' would never have married Shrien had she known about his 'sordid secrets'

Hindocha said in the final extract of the book that Dewani admitted to be a "liar, a deceitful and secretive individual" who had no respect for his daughter's morals and had little morality of his own, reported The Mirror.

He conceded, "All I ever asked for was the truth and the whole facts. I feel I never got them."

Hindocha affirmed that he will never forgive Shrien for not protecting his daughter and for hiding the truth about his sexuality.

Shrien was accused of orchestrating the murder of Anni during their honeymoon in Cape Town in November 2010. He had confessed his bisexuality on the first day of his trial last year.

The prosecution had claimed that Dewani had hired men to kill Anni for 15,000 rand. However, the judge said that taxi driver Zola Tongo and accomplices Mziwamadoda Qwabe and Xolile Mngeni were "intelligent men" and dismissed the state's claim that they could have murdered someone for a contract worth "a few thousand rand."

However, Dewani denied all the charges throughout the trial and claimed that the two were hijacked at gunpoint as they drove through Gugulethu in a taxi.

Finally, the Cape Town High Court threw out honeymoon murder suspect Dewani's case and cleared him of all charges.

During the trial, Judge Jeanette Traverso said that the evidence presented by the state in the case fell "far below the threshold" of what a reasonable court could convict on and that it was "riddled with contradictions.
