A petition against the casting of Ben Affleck as Batman in the sequel to Man of Steel on change.org has reportedly garnered over 50,000 signatures.
The petition, which has fetched 53,267 signatures and counting, criticized the 41-year old American actor's acting ability, stating that he won't do justice to the role as his acting skills are not even close to being believable as Bruce Wayne, and urged Warner Bros to consider someone else as he is "not built, nor is he intimidating enough for the role of Batman", Metro.co.uk reported.
The petition also states that his portrayal of Daredevil was "atrocious" and he's "not remotely close to an action star".
John Roden, who launched the petition, later added that he respects Affleck's work and the petition was not meant to harm Ben Affleck or his career in any way.
As per reports, the decision has been made and Affleck will be starring opposite Henry Cavill in the Zack Snyder-directed movie, due for release in 2015.
