Kher in a tweet lashed out at the BJP leaders for their disparaging remarks against Khan.
"Some members of the BJP really need to control their tongue & stop talking rubbish about @iamsrk. He is a national icon and we are 'proud' of him," he tweeted.
Kher's praise for the Bollywood superstar comes in the wake of unwarranted criticism against him by some BJP leaders, including the likes of Kailash Vijayvargiya, Sadhvi Prachi and Yogi Adityanath.
Meanwhile, Kher also said that he would be giving the details of the rally against the "Award Wapsi" movement tomorrow.
