A day after former Karnataka chief minister and Congress leader, Siddaramaiah said that he would once again take over as the Chief Minister of the state, his successor HD Kumaraswamy on Saturday said that anybody can become a Chief Minister in a democratic system.
Kumaraswamy told media, "Anybody can become a Chief Minister in this democracy. It is a democratic system."
Addressing a gathering in Hassan on Friday, Siddaramaiah said that with the blessings of the people of the state, he would once again become the Chief Minister of Karnataka.
"I thought people will bless me once again and make me the chief minister. Unfortunately, I lost, but this is not the end. In politics wins and losses are common," he asserted.
He also claimed that the Opposition joined hands to prevent him from becoming the chief minister after the May state assembly elections.
