Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday announced an allocation of Rs. 1000 crore towards the welfare of Muslims to be implemented from the next financial year.
This has been disclosed in an official release.
Earlier in the day, a delegation of several Muslim groups from across the state called upon the Chief Minister at his Camp Officer in Vijayawada.
Naidu also said that a socio-economic survey would be conducted to assess the living conditions of various backward and minority communities in the State.
He said the government would allocate funds to backward communities based on the survey and its recommendations.
